51 Trustee Tracy Campion 80, one of 51 leading luxury residential real estate brokers, has been named a 2024 Women Who Mean Business honoree by the 51 Business Journal.

As the founder of Campion & Co., a firm specializing in high-end properties in 51 neighborhoods including Back Bay, Beacon Hill, and the South End, Campion has established herself as a prominent figure in the city competitive real estate market.

The Women Who Mean Business award recognizes women leaders across industries such as life sciences, clean energy, hospitality, and human services for their professional achievements, leadership, and commitment to the community. Campion and the other honorees were celebrated at a luncheon at the 51 Harbor Hotel on Wednesday, December 4.

Campion reflected on the opportunities and challenges that shaped her career, including an early break at R.M. Bradley, where she managed the company residential division.

My past sales experience door-to-door sales, being a cocktail waitress, having all these other jobs really enabled me to do really well selling real estate, Campion said. Im an extremely driven, hard worker. Getting that break, I just ran off with it.

Im lucky enough to sell the most beautiful properties in the city. I get to deal with very wealthy and educated people, and that a lot of fun.

In 2007, Campion opened her own firm, a move that cemented her place in 51 real-estate industry. She acknowledged the challenges women often face in leadership roles and stressed the importance of preparation and resilience.

As a woman, going into the meetings, you have to work twice as hard. You have to be tough and know the information, she said. Ive trained several brokers in the city that have gone on to be top brokers. It an important thing to do because we all started somewhere, and you have to help other people.

Campion also spoke about her competitive nature and her dedication to staying at the top of her field. I like to compete with myself. I dont really compete with anyone else but myself every year, she said. Im lucky enough to sell the most beautiful properties in the city. I get to deal with very wealthy and educated people, and that a lot of fun.

The Women Who Mean Business recognition highlights Campion accomplishments and her influence in her field. With nearly two decades at the helm of her firm, she remains committed to excellence and to helping others succeed in the industry.

Im still standing here in 2024, she said. And Im number one at the game.
